Following the rapid growth of Black Friday here in the UK over recent years, several retailers have kicked off their deals early in a bid to avert the stress of the one-day event.

Currys, Argos and Homebase have all launched week-long deals starting today, including huge reductions on furniture and tech.  Furthermore, Argos have promised to refund the difference in price should any of their items on offer from today are reduced further on Black Friday.

The decision to spread the sales over the entire week comes after scores of problems at different UK retailers last year.  Both Tesco and Asda outlets reportedly required additional security and police as shoppers grappled with each other for the top deals, while other companies are thought to be wary of the stress on staff members.

Asda – the company who originally brought the Black Friday phenomenon to the UK – have done away with it altogether this year, eager to avoid a repeat of last year’s chaos.

Best Black Friday deals so far

There are already some excellent offers available for consumers on the hunt for a bargain.  Argos have reduced many items, with savings on furniture over £150 and some good tech deals, including on sound bars, Bluetooth speakers, televisions and some tablets.

The biggest item to catch the eye in Currys so far is a massive 60-inch, 4k Samsung television.  It has been reduced by £600 to £899.

Over on Dyson.co.uk, if youre on the hunt for a vacuum you could do much worse than look at the Dyson V6 Total Clean, reduced by £151 to £279.

There are going to be offers aplenty around your favourite retailers this week, so be sure to keep an eye on your favourite websites.
