St. Petersburg Pre-lit Christmas Tree, 7ft, Green – John Lewis
Few retailers in the UK are as synonymous with Christmas as John Lewis. I remember my parents saving up a lot of money to buy a luxurious John Lewis Christmas tree which was simply stunning, and lasted many years.
When I married my wife, we were fortunate enough to receive a lot of John Lewis vouchers as wedding gifts and used them to purchase a beautiful tree – only our house was nowhere near big enough and so I had to return it!
So, what of this pre-lit 7ft tree? Well, at £350, it’s not cheap, but it does look very high quality. It also seems to buck the trend of recent years of artificial trees seemingly becoming thinner! This St’ Petersburg Pre-lit 7ft tree is a great size, while the warm white lights are evenly distributed and give a festively warm glow.
We’ll be off to a John Lewis store to give it a good once-over in the coming weeks, but it looks a great tree.

Balsam Hill Balsam Fir Christmas Tree – Balsam Hill
Okay, this one is another pricey option, we will have some cheaper ones further down the page. However, UK manufacturer Balsam Hill has built a reputation of producing high-quality trees. This artificial fir tree is available in multiple sizes from 5ft right up to 9ft. There’s also a pre-lit option. We like this tree because it looks like it’s fresh out of a forest with its realistic foliage. It’s also full – a really dense amount of branches mean this tree has plenty of room to hang your decorations on.

6ft Grand Spruce Christmas Tree – The White Company
I can’t put my finger on what exactly makes us love this tree, it just has a look to it. A perfect balance of realism and nostalgia, it reminds me in shape of real trees our family had as a child, yet it isn’t enormous, it’s not going to dominate your living room. This traditional tree would look the part just about any where.

Shatchi Alaskan Pine Christmas Tree – Amazon
We’ve covered some fairly expensive trees so far, so if you’re in the market for something on a tighter budget, then it’s worth checking out the Shatchi Alaskan Pine on Amazon. I first became aware of this tree last Christmas. While visiting a friend, he had a lovely tree in his small front room – it was bushy really bushy, moreso than most. It didn’t have many gaps (if any) and he’d decorated it beautifully. He told me it was from Amazon and later sent me the link. Upon inspecting the listing, I noticed that it boasts more than 10,000 reviews which average out at 4.4/5, a pretty incredible score for a Christmas tree by Amazon standards.
It’s available in multiple sizes, starting at 4ft and increasing through most heights up to 12ft! Some sizes have different colours available too, but it’s the price that seals the recommendation here. A 6ft green tree is just £29.99! You’ll need to go a long way to find one cheaper than that with such positive reviews. Keep in mind, like many trees, it’s on you to spend the time spreading the branches out, making sure the coverage is even!

Shareconn Snow Flocked Pre-lit 7ft tree – Amazon
This is another Amazon tree, but it’s another belter! If you like a frosty, snow-flocked tree, then this is an option worth your consideration. Boasting an average user review of 4.6 from several hundred reviews, this tree looks high-end, but at £113 for a 7ft tree, it offers good value. A bushy and full tree, the 7ft version boasts more than 900 tips and has 300 warm white lights. What’s more, the lights are multi-function, with 13 different functions to choose from! Again, you’ll need to take the time to open up all of the branches and really spread the tree out to fill it.

Black twig 3ft pre-lit Christmas tree – Next
If you’re after something a little different or short on space, then this small tree from Next really caught our eye. It’s not normally the type of tree I’d go for, but it looks elegant and classy and can really brighten up a small area. While the black twig version with warm white lights is our favourite, if you visit the listing check out the gold version also – it’s very effective also, and could add a glittering sparkle to your space.

Nordmann Fir Christmas tree (6ft – 9ft) – We R Christmas
British Christmas retailer We R Christmas stock some wonderful products and this tree is a great example. It has exceptional reviews, and why wouldn’t it? Few Christmas trees have a more traditional style than a Nordmann Fir, and this version has a mixture of different tips (more than 700 of them) to create a more realistic aesthetic. It’s available in several sizes; 6ft, 7ft, 8ft, and 9ft. We love the look of it and would love to get our hands on one to give it a thorough review!

Samuel Alexander Plain Grey Colorado Spruce Wrapped Artificial Christmas Tree 8ft – Wilko
If you have a big space to fill, you will have to go a long way to find better value than this 8ft tree at Wilko which is just £79.99. It’s a plain grey colour which gives it a bit of a frosty appearance and has more than 1000 tips. It’s one we’d need to see in-person, but if you’re on a budget and need a big tree, we think it’s worth looking at. Also, check out some of Wilko’s other trees. They have some that appear great value.

Slim Olan 6ft pre-lit snow flocked tree – B&Q
If you need (or would like) a slim Christmas tree, then this pre-lit 6ft tree in B&Q is worthy of a look. The snow-flocked branches are beautiful and the warm white LED lights feel naturally distributed. Add a few decorations and this tree really comes alive and looks stunning in any location.

Habitat snowy 6ft Christmas tree – Argos
Argos has been a British retail institution for decades and it’s perhaps at Christmas when it comes into its own. This 6ft snowy Christmas tree is beautiful. Its size mean it fits well in to many rooms of all shapes and sizes, but it’s beautiful snow-flocked branches make enough of an impression that it dominates the room. In addition, it represents good value for money retailing for around £60.
